The story of Therm-a-Rest… In 1971 a group of unemployed engineers came together to change how we experience the outdoors.

As climbers, Jim Lea, Neil Anderson & John Burroughs knew firsthand that long days in the hills were only made longer by a horrible night’s rest, & a better sleeping pad was key to breaking the chain of discomfort.

Nestled between the Cascade Range and Puget Sound, their design and manufacturing facilities have been crafting the finest sleeping pads and camp gear since 1971. The brand takes a lot of pride manufacturing its products in their own hometown – Seattle.
